Is Bigger Really Better?

by Brenda | March 19, 2019

Companies that have the most profits or subscribers or leads in the funnel should be the best, right? For many years, that’s been a common perception in society. We assume companies with more money or employees would provide better service and lower costs. Although sometimes this is true, it’s pretty obvious that bigger isn’t always better.

Offering more products or services is often one of the requirements for growth. The more you offer, the more you can sell, the bigger your company becomes. Unfortunately, many of these companies are willing to sacrifice quality in their products or service to their customers in the pursuit of greater profits. At the end of the day, they become a jack of all trades and a master of none.

     SEEKING THE SPECIALISTS

With so many options to satisfy our needs and wants, we have the luxury of finding exactly what we’re looking for. Just think about some of these examples:

  • If you think you’ve torn your ACL during a football game, would you visit…
    • A General Practitioner or an Orthopedic Knee Specialist?
  • If you’re preparing for marathon and you need shoes…
  • If you want to eat a delicious plate of sushi…
    • Masa or the grocery store fresh food aisle?

The first thing you may have noticed is the price difference. Why do the specialists cost so much more than the general solution? Because they are the best at what they do. When you go to a specialist, not only will you be satisfied with the results, you will be amazed.

People are more than willing to pay more to find the perfect solution to their needs or desires.

BETTER IS BETTER

Bigger isn’t better… better is better. At Medallion Bank, we’ve realized we don’t need to be the biggest to be the best at what we do. Instead of offering every type of financing available on the market today, we specialize in recreation and home improvement lending for dealers and contractors.

With all of the technology today, it’s easy to do business end-to-end without seeing or speaking to another human. However, we believe the most successful companies are the ones that embrace technology without losing humanity.

As we continue to grow as a company, we always look for ways to support a positive human experience with fast, friendly customer service. We definitely understand that self-service can be gratifying, but with many companies, finding a human when you actually need one can be a real challenge.

     ABOUT MEDALLION BANK

Medallion Bank specializes in non-prime recreation loans and prime credit home improvement loans. Using over 15 years of professional lending experience, our team works directly with dealerships, contractors and financial service providers to offer quality financing for your customers (including those with past credit challenges). Want to put this blog to the test? Give us a call today and you’ll be able to talk with a real human that can answer your questions.
