The Importance of the Team

Are you proud of the people with whom you work? It’s generally accepted that you should surround yourself with good people to help your company grow. However, it’s also generally accepted that that is easier said than done. Finding the right people is hard work and takes time. It also takes a conscious effort to lead by example, as well as create a constructive work environment that allows people to thrive.

We’ve all been in a position where the team is compromised by “toxic” individuals. In the construction industry, the implications of these bad apples can be even more serious. A rogue salesperson can truly jeopardize a business by doing substandard work. This can result in a severely damaged reputation or worse—a lawsuit.

We recently interviewed Sal Ferro of Alure Home Improvements on the importance of the team, and he credits the growth, strength, and durability of his business to the quality of the people with whom he works. Here at Medallion Bank, we try to do the same—hire the right people for the long term. These ideals require constant attention as we build the team and our business, with the goal that everyone has the company’s best interests in mind.
